FUNCTION
The electrical separator ASMEL is a separator with damping. If a workpiece carrier strikes against the stop plate of the separator, the air chamber is compressed and the compressed air escapes through the opening gap of the adjusting screw. Thus, the workpiece carrier is gently damped to a stop. The damping is with air and can be finely adjusted via a throttle screw.
If the workpiece pallet will be damped, the stop plate will be pushed in. The stop plate will stay in this position. There are no forces that would try to move the stop plate even the workpiece carrier is not pushing against the stop plate. The extension of the stop takes place during lowering and moving up the stop plate. The lowering and rising movement of the separator, as well as the extension of the stop plate is controlled by an internal mechanism. An integrated stepper motor performs the movements necessary for these functions.
POWER SUPPLY
24 Volt ± 15%, with reverse polarity protection. If the voltage is higher or lower, the Power LED starts flashing in 0.25 second intervals. No more commands are executed. If the voltage range is between 20,4 V and 27,6 V again, then the Power LED is permanently on. The separator is then ready for use again.

The current consumption of the separator takes place via the supply voltage of the actuator-connection (pin 4) and pin 1 of the sensor connection for the voltage supply of the sensors.
