Different switch brackets and position detections are available for the workpiece carrier detection and for area monitoring in transfer systems.

For the navigation of the workpiece carrier in a transfer system it is important to know whether a workpiece carrier is present at the separator and how many workpiece carriers are piled up at the separator. If a separator lowers and release the workpiece pallet, it is important to know when the separator can rise up into the upper locking position again to stop the next workpiece carriers. All these queries can be done with proximity switches, mounted in the switch brackets.
With the position detection ASW a region of a conveyor path is quiried. When a workpiece carrier is in contact with the ASW, an inductive proximity switch M12x1 is actuated. The workpiece carrier actuates the ASW through his geometric shape.
The position detection ASW usually is used after lift-transverse-units.
